Iran ready for talks if US lifts bans

Iran Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif says Tehran is prepared to start negotiations over its nuclear energy program if the US lifts illegal sanctions against the country.
In an interview with ABC’s “This Week” program on Sunday, Zarif said, “Iran is prepared to start negotiating…. We are willing to engage in negotiations. Of course the United States also needs to do certain things very rapidly”.

He stated, “One is to dismantle its illegal sanctions against Iran that are targeting ordinary Iranians”.
The Iranian foreign minister added that the resolution of Iran’s nuclear issue “will be a first step, a necessary first step, towards removing the tensions and doubts and misgivings that the two sides have had about each other for the last 30-some years.”
He added that Tehran and Washington have similarities in many ways, adding, both “have pluralistic societies where difference of views exists and difference of views are aired. And I think it’s very healthy.”
the Iranian minister reiterated, “We believe that, if the United States is ready to recognize Iran’s rights, to respect Iran’s rights and move from that perspective, then we have a real chance and we negotiate with the full authority of the Leader [of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei]”.
He expressed regret that there is lack of mutual confidence between Iran and the US and said as declared by Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani and his US counterpart, Barack Obama, there has been 34 years of building up of this mutual distrust
Zarif, who is also serving as Iran’s top nuclear negotiator, reiterated that Iran’s nuclear program will always remain peaceful.

America’s demonization of Muslims

Muslims are targeted for demonization because it fits into the US policy of having someone as an “enemy”. By keeping the American public fearful, corporate America can get away with its crimes.
Those were excerpts from an article titled “America’s demonization project targets Muslims.” The article was written by Tahir Mustafa who is a regular contributor to Crescent International Magazine. The second and concluding part of his two part article is as follows:

Those not suffering from dementia would recall that in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, thousands of Muslims were rounded up in the US and thrown in prisons. Many were brutally tortured; some were killed.
Regardless of one’s opinion of the identity of the 9/11 perpetrators, the attacks occurred in the US, yet all Western governments immediately instituted oppressive Muslim specific anti-terror laws. Islamophobia, always present in Western societies, became respectable and mainstream. Even otherwise liberal commentators joined the hate-filled discourse. “All Muslims may not be terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims,” became the standard mantra. Any Muslim or Muslim-looking person immediately became a suspect. Raids on the homes of Muslims, businesses, workplaces and intrusive searches at airports are now routine in the US and many other Western societies. Airline “watch lists” have not only been instituted but keep expanding. With everything computerized, an individual whose name appears on one country’s “watch list” — usually the US — may end up in trouble in another.
There have also been numerous cases of mistaken identity. Take the case of Shahrukh Khan, the well-known Bollywood actor who has on numerous occasions been detained upon arrival in the US. Despite a valid visa issued by the US embassy in Delhi, he has faced harassment and humiliation only to be rescued by Indian diplomatic staff pleading with ignorant US officials. His last name matches someone on the US watch list. People with names like Ahmed, Muhammad, Hassan, Hussain are routinely hauled out at airports for interrogation and intrusive body searches. From eight-year-old girls to eighty-year-old grandmothers, all have been victimized by perverts that pass off for security personnel at airports, especially in the US.

Such acts of harassment pale into insignificance against the backdrop of a determined policy of entrapment of unsuspecting Muslims in the US as detailed in a study by the New York University School of Law’s Center for Human Rights and Global Justice (CHRGJ) published on May 18, 2011. It described how American counterterrorism efforts have singled out Muslim Americans by “sending paid, trained informants into mosques and Muslim communities.” More than 200 people have been prosecuted in what are referred to as “terrorism-related cases.” These are trumpeted as hallmarks of a successful counterterrorism program and amplified by a willing media especially rightwing outlets like Fox News and CNN as well as the army of Islamophobes, most of them hardcore Zionists that have made a career out of demonizing Muslims on behalf of their favourite country: Israel. Zionist lobby concerned over constructive interaction of Iran and US

Signs of change in US administration’s Iran Policy have generated concerns among a number of US senators. Concurrent with speculations over the possible meeting of Iranian and US presidents on the sidelines of UN General Assembly meeting in New York, four American senators, including John McCain, and Lindsey Graham called on the US president, Barack Obama, to continue to pile up pressure on Iran. These US senators claimed that Washington will not achieve its goals unless pressure continues to pile up on Tehran.

The developments in recent days show that the West, including the US, seemingly intend to replace confrontation and hostility with interaction and talks. Nonetheless, a number of currents in the US continue to beat on the drums of hostility and enmity. US Congress is one of the centers of such currents, which collaborate with Zionist regime’s lobbies. In the view of the ringleaders of Zionist lobbies, any flexibility toward Iran is tantamount to the destruction of US national security. Meanwhile, for establishments such as the American-Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) maintenance of the Zionist regime’s security is the top priority. For this reason, the members and supporters of AIPAC have for long wanted for the US Middle East Policy to serve the interests of Zionist regime of Israel. This matter of fact has even led to protests of a number of American thinkers, who believe the unwavering support for the Zionist regime has led to growth of anti-US sentiments in countries such as Iran, in addition to the countries allied to Washington, such as Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.

Although signs of detrimental impacts of activities of Zionist lobbies on the US diplomacy are clearly evident, a number of US politicians continue to comply with the red lines set by AIPAC. The legislative by-elections are due at the US House of Representatives and US Senate, next year. The majority of US Congressmen are in need of funds raised by lobbies for victory. Given that the Zionist lobbies highly contribute to distribution of cash and electoral campaigns, many Congressmen are intent on winning the support of these lobbies. In the recent years, one of the ways for shoring up the support of Zionist lobbies has been adoption of anti-Iran stands at the US Congress.
Now that the US administration has realized the ineffectiveness of the policy of threats and sanctions against Iran and has shown signs of constructive interaction, the Zionist lobby at the US Congress has been activated to obstruct this unique opportunity from bearing fruit. Now, whether White House would give in to the domestic pressures piled up by anti-Iran lobbies depends on future developments.

Saudi Arabia Funds Mossad Anti-Iran Operations

A startling disclosure has been made about the unholy alliance between the illegal Zionist entity and the Wahhabi minority regime in Saudi Arabia to try to undermine the progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Former CBS News producer. has recently written an investigative article titled “A Strange Alliance: Are the Saudis Bankrolling Israel’s Mossad?” Lando does not reveal the identity of the person who revealed to him about the plot underway, and merely calls him “a friend, with good sources in Israel.”

Lando writes: The head of Israel’s Mossad has made several trips to deal with his counterparts in Saudi Arabia, and one of the results is an agreement that the Saudis would bankroll the series of assassinations of several of Iran’s top nuclear experts that have occurred over the past couple of years.

He further says: “The amount involved, my friend claims, was $1 billion dollars. A sum, he says, the Saudis considered cheap for the damage done to Iran’s nuclear program.” Lando said although “the tale sounds preposterous, it makes eminent sense. The murky swamp of Middle East politics has nothing to do with the easy slogans and 30-second sound bites of presidential debates.” Israel and Saudi Arabia have at least one thing in common: neither country wants to allow the Islamic Republic of Iran to obtain nuclear capability. Lando noted that the claim of the strange alliance “also makes perfect sense”, in view of the cyber attacks on their centrifuges suffered by the Iranians.

“A report earlier this year by Tel Aviv University cites Saudi Arabia as the last hope and defense line for Israel,” Lando wrote. “With most of Israel’s traditional allies in the region sent packing or undermined by the Arab Spring, the Saudis are the Jewish State’s last chance to protect its political interests in the Arab world.”

Lando has long experience on Iran. He recently wrote a book called “Web of Deceit: The History of Western Complicity in Iraq, from Churchill to Kennedy to George W. Bush.” He said he personally ran into American ignorance in 1980 when he was producing ’60 Minutes’. “I was struck by the total inability of Americans—even at the highest level—to understand the emotions and history that drove the hatred of all things American that had exploded in Iran with the fall of the Shah,” Lando wrote. “Just up West 57th street from CBS News, for instance, was a huge billboard with the Image of Ayatollah Khomeini glowering down on New York. I suggested we do a report to give Americans a better idea of what was driving Iran’s revolutionaries and their feelings against the United States….I stitched together a tough report with Mike Wallace based on a series of interviews in New York and Washington.’ Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was charged by one interviewee “for turning a blind eye to the excesses of the Shah, and refusing to have any contact with the opposition groups.”

Lando also reported that classified US documents exposed by Iranian revolutionary students who took over the American embassy in Tehran for its espionage and indulgence in activities against diplomatic norms “showed that American diplomats based in Teheran had warned Washington months earlier of the threat of a possible fall of the US embassy, particularly if the US allowed the despised Shah to come to America for medical treatment, as the US ultimately did. Those warnings had been completely ignored by Washington.” However, before the program was broadcast, President Jimmy Carter called the president of CBS News “to try to convince him not to broadcast the report. It would, he said, undermine US negotiations with Iran at a very delicate time.” CBS did not agree to back down but agreed to change the report’s title from “Should the US Apologize?” to a more neutral “The Iran File.”

Lando says: “It was difficult to understand how our report could upset the negotiations. We were not revealing any secrets to Iran. The Iranians already knew well the role of the US in their own history. The people we were informing were 20 million Americans — who didn’t understand what was really roiling Iran. “And still don’t.”

Since the regime in Saudi Arabia is a poodle of the US, the unholy alliance between Riyadh and the Zionist entity is no surprise. It is also worth noting that a couple of years back, Wikileaks website had released what it called classified documents claiming that the Saudi Arabia had urged the US to attack Iran, and had reportedly called the Islamic Republic as ‘head of the snake’.

Moreover, as observers point out, the crisis in Syria where both Israel and Saudi Arabia are involved – the former with the supply of arms and the latter with hundreds of millions of dollars of money – are further proof of the US-American-Zionist plot to undermine Iran’s influence in the region, in view of the fact that the government of President Bashar al-Assad resolute defence of the rights of the Palestinian people. Thus, Israel and the reactionary Arab regimes in the region are dangerously involved in a plot against Iran, which political analysts point out, will eventual backfire to the detriment of both Israel and Saud Arabia.
